And coming up in the Fall...
Seems that there are five colleges in the US with a greyhound mascot. But the only one with live mascots is Moravian! And Lightfoot & Shiloh, the Moravian mascots and First State ambassadors, will be featured in the Fall issue of Celebrating Greyhounds Magazine! If you're not a subscriber, you can go here for more information.
And for the Fine Art lover...
Our own First State Store has teamed up with GreytArt.com to offer wonderful greyhound prints! And if you order prints by Saturday, 7/5/08, you can pick your prints up at the picnic 7/12! If there are prints that are not on our store site that you would like, just email greyhoundgear@yahoo.com for ordering information.
And if you haven't RSVP'd yet for the picnic, it's not too late! Contact Deb Detterline at DearDet@comcast.net for more information!
Sue Mason (who is the anonymous "ACDC Volunteer" mentioned in the article, sends us this link, with timely information about protecting pets from heat...as well as her "other" rescue job with bunnies in need.
Two special notices...
What is the core of First State's entire rescue program? Why, the foster families, of course! Have you ever thought about fostering? The more foster families we have, the more greyhounds we can save! Contact Christine at gbink26@enter.net for more information, or come to see all the foster pups & talk to Christine at the picnic! |
Did you know that First State is planning a cookbook? Joan Fish is assembling recipes for both pups & humans, and is hoping to get your favorites! Send recipes to jmfish2003@yahoo.com, or visit Joan at the picnic for more information! |
