Lost Dog List
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOUR GREYHOUND
GOT OUT?
WHO WOULD YOU CALL?
By joining First State’s
Lost Dog List, you will not only have the
help
and support that you may need at this critical time but be of help to
someone else who does!!
I am asking for any person
who is willing to receive a phone call
when a dog is loose in your area.
It is NOT a commitment to
search then and there...your help may be needed to make phone calls, copy or post fliers...there are lots of jobs to go around!
If you wish to join the Lost
Dog List please e-mail your home phone number,
cell phone number(s), your address and nearest Metro area
as well as
how far you are willing to travel to search to bubbatice@yahoo.com
or call Beth Tice at (610)589-2253-h or (717)304-1570-c with any questions.
Please contact Beth EVEN IF you are already on the list, to make sure your information is up to date!
REMEMBER: SECONDS COUNT WHEN
YOUR DOG IS ON THE RUN!!
WHAT WOULD YOU DO??
WHO WOULD YOU CALL??
WHAT IF IT WAS YOUR DOG??
And if it IS your dog? Call the First State phone at 484-638-2113 and Beth at the above numbers IMMEDIATELY. You do NOT have to sign up for the Lost Dog list to receive assistance with a lost dog...we will gladly help ANY lost greyhound!
VIPs...Very Important Pups
On behalf of First State's Fostering Program I wanted to personally
thank Franki Aitken for fostering two bounces at one time and on very short
notice. Jordan and Pat C. came in together to Franki on 10/21 and were
adopted together on 10/28. Keeping these two together for fostering
certainly helped them get adopted together. Thank you Franki!! And these two lovely seniors are getting used to the Lombardo home!

Bandito...my oh my, this Bandit has stolen some hearts.
This wonderful pup got a rocky start. A broken leg led to an early retirement...and a phone call to First State. Robin Cuzner drove to West Virginia to pick up this guy...and his adventures continued! Unfortunately, Robin's car broke down in the middle of the night on the PA Turnpike...so Bandito got a ride in a tow-truck! He started his new life as greyhound ambassador by charming the driver.
And then, just when things looked to be smoothing out for Bandito, a vet exam revealed that his broken leg was more severe than was originally thought. So he got to meet a new friend...an orthopedic veterinary specialist, who performed a little expensive carpentry to get Bandito back in shape!
Bandito is still recovering from his surgery, but he's on his way...and it's whispered that he has so charmed his foster family that he may never leave!
The lovely Kiki has it all...looks, personality, a lovely temperament. So why was she stuck for months in a Florida kennel? Because no could see past the scars of some unknown old injury to see the real Kiki...until she met First State and the Gorski family!
Kiki is now in a happy home, getting to know her new brother, Wyatt!

And from Christine Guth, foster coordinator...
Ah, those lucky souls who went to Dewey this year...they finally got a whole weekend of beautiful weather to cavort with the pups!

The 2007 Renaissance Faire is officially over! We were blessed this year with fabulous weather and enormous crowds...and a record-setting amount of donations! These donations go a huge way towards our budget, and allow us to take in dogs such as Bandito who need a little bit extra to get off to a good retirement. Thanks so much to all the "fewterers" (keepers of the hounds) who volunteered time and effort! See you next year! ![]() |
